Tranny housing surprise!
2 Attachment(s)
When I got the rear end out of the 129 I found what looks like an old repair. These plates look like they were brazed to the case. I can only guess that the 2 upper parts that the hydro pump bolts to broke and were repaired. There is still a small crack in the original metal where the upper pump bolt (pic on right), this crack does not go all the way thru. Anyone seen one broke here? seems like it would take a big hit to break and it also puzzles me that the upper part could break w/o the lower mounts breaking. Maybe the lowers were loose or missing? Judging by the way the newer paint is burned it must be that the tractor had been disassembled and painted before this fix

Now that's a first at least for me.

Can't say I have seen that before either.

Never seen anything like that, also a first for me.

When I was putting my 107 back together, I had the transmission out of it like that, and I was afraid what would happen if it slipped off the jack and smacked the hydro pump on the floor. I wonder if that one has at some point and that was the result?
