Remove 105 tower?

Can anyone give me a summary on how to remove the tower from my 105? I have the choke and throttle cables removed as well as the steering wheel and fiberglass dash. I removed the 4 bolts from the side of the frame holding down the tower but it is still mounted pretty solid.

Have you removed the hydrostatic forward/reverse lever?

Do you mean the bolts in the front of the tower that appear to mount the shifter shaft? I have not removed these. I am actually just trying to remove that shaft to replace it and assumed that the tower needed to come off. Could you let me know if that is not the case.

No I was talking about the set screw that holds the silver handle on the shaft.

Yes the handle has been removed.

There are 4 bolts holding it the whole control lever assembly to the frame, remove those and it should come off.

Here's a pic after pulling the tower off my 125 I believe I dropped the steering box and column out the bottom took about 8 screws out and this is what was remaining after the tower came off

Yes those 4 small pan head screws under the key area need to come out. There may be some pictures on here when I did the 147R that show this too.
Thread "Added more IH equipment" page 7, post 67, has a few shots.
Good luck with the repairs.
Regards,
Chris
