New 1450
Got to pick up a 1450. I found it on CL and it had a pic with the ad but didn't show a lot. I basically went by the sellers description and that wasn't very good either. All the snow and then mud from the recent warm up delayed picking it up for a couple of weeks but finally got to it today.
It is pretty much all there except the air cleaner housing. The tins are in great shape , rear fenders are not all bashed in , the deck and mule drive are in great shape also. The tires are weathered so bad I doubt they will hold air , the seat is trashed , and the controls are faded pretty bad but all there. It ran when parked but hasn't been run in a couple of years. It did have a newer filter on the hydro so at least they somewhat took care of it. The big bonus...it has dual hydraulics and everything is there and looks like it is in great shape!! Later this week I will start tearing into it to get a better picture of what it needs. For the selling price and my gas to go get , I have less than $100 in it!! Not too bad of a deal in my book!! |
Sounds really good, but..............:WWP:

Dual Hydraulics...??? ATA Boy....

Thats a great deal
Get us some pictures when you get a chance :biggrin2.gif: |
Will absolutely put up some pics soon. Like most Cubs you see sitting out in a weed patch or behind someones shed this one looks a bit rough. The more you look at it though the better it gets.
And yes , R Beddel , DUAL HYDRAULICS!!! I was pretty pumped after I saw that especially when you see the going price for that option. Does anyone recall Cub sending out parts in cloth bags? I have a couple of them filled with hydraulic fittings , couplers , caps , and misc. parts I picked up from an old Cub dealership and was going to plumb another tractor but this find makes the job much easier. |
Cool deal, Jeff! Can't wait to see your pics. :beerchug:

Well , I got to monkey around with the 1450 this afternoon. As of right now I don't think I will be putting any money into it. I will take the dual hydraulics and various other parts from it to make one of my 149's into the tractor I want. I have too many other projects that need the attention. It is in decent shape though and has plenty of usable parts on it. The previous owner didn't do it any good by setting it outside for the last couple of years.
Here are some pics I took of it today. |
Nice pictures
I know what you mean about to many projects :biggrin2.gif: You got your moneys worth if all you keep is the valve. |
Cool 1450, you don't see many with dual hydraulics. :beerchug:
