front hydraulics

Hi everybody!! Here is a question: How hard would it be to add front hydraulics to either my 1862 or 1882? Would it be difficult if this is possible? I would like to have them in case I ever come across a hydraulic angle plow for either one.

It is possible, and I don't think all that hard.Finding all the parts for the right price is the challange. I have been giving alot of thought to this. I would like to add them to my 1211,for a hydro angle plow also. I keep seeing the dual spool hydro valves on epay, and they sell for way to much. I also see that Patton has complete kits for $300 (I think). I think I am going to try and plumb 2 single spool valves in line and do it that way. I have even been thinking of using the newer smaller deck lift valve off of a 1863 (I think). It is small and could be put anywere on the tower.

The cyclops tractors have a different valve assembly...all you'd have to do is stack two single valves and run the appropriate lines.

MATT G who were you telling to stack 2 singles? If you have any pics of this set up please post them, especially if you have any of the control lever system.

Sorry PAPAGLIDE did not mean to jack your thread.

Matt, thanks for the info. :beerchug:
I'll post back later with more questions because being the neophyte mechanic (appropriate description and sounds better than just plain dumb!!):bash2: that I am, I will need more details to help me plan this out.
