Info on a 1914 Cub
Anyone know much about them? They are a super frame, made by MTD in the early '80's..... anything good or bad about them? What was stock in them for engines? Anyone have one or pictures of one all together, are they as nice as the 982's - guessing they are about the same shape wise?
:bigthink: |
Pretty much a Yellow & White 982 should have an Onan engine.
|
You ever owned one Sam Mac? Or is that too old of a tractor for you Super Line up?
:biggrin2: |
Never had a 1914. As far as Supers go I've had a 1572, 1772, 1872, 1882, 2284. I have a 2182 and a 1782 at the moment. GT's 2 O's , a 1210, a 129, a 147, a 71/121, 3-1641's a few 2160's and 2165's and one 2185. You can see what I have at the moment in my sig.

Your newer Super's, are they really that much bigger than the old 82 series frames or do they just look bigger bcause of the hood design and the wide fenders with the rubber flares on it? They just look SO much larger? Strange!
|
Same frame, it's all the hood look.
|
Mine had the 3pt hitch and rear PTO...also, front hyrdaulic ports...No PS...
From what I have been told they are a rare CC... I parted it out. My 1872 got all the goodies and it has PS! |
A 1914 is the same as a 986 (982 will all the options), just one generation newer.
|
Mike, those machines were only built 2 years 1985 & 1986. I don't think many were built and I have never seen one. Go get it, the 1914 should have the rear cat 0 on it. Got any pics?:beerchug:

Those are a lower production model. You'd better go buy it. :beerchug:
Wouldn't have power steering from the factory. The first supers to come out with PS were the 1872's, 2072's. |
