Sleeve hitch differences between 1650 and 782?
 

Hello folks,
Does anyone know if the sleeve hitch for the wide-frame 1450/1650 will fit the 82 series, or what the differences in the parts might be?

the lift bar that runs for the hitch to the trator lift is not the same.

The lift bar for the 1650 has a curve, while the lift bar for the 782 is straight.

Appreciate the info, thanks! I'm looking at a wide-frame hitch set for sale. Looks like for what just the bar costs ($45+), I may cut and weld it to fit my 782.

Also, the early quietlines had the bar going through the actual cast part to allow it to pivot. On the later quietlines and the 82 series, it used Frankenstein bolts. You could always add bushings to the 782 frame and use the bar if it's an early one.

The upper casting is the same for all WF. The difference lies in the rear of the Frame. Early frames had a collar spot welded to the frame and used a pivot rod. Later frames did not have those collars and simply had a hole in the frame for the so called Frankenstein Bolts. See image of frame with collars.

OK, Roland I don't see the collar so I think I will need Jeff's frankenstein bolts!! Just in time for Halloween.
