That is not a torque failure, that is a fatigue failure. :bigthink:
The failure was most likely caused by some form of defect on or near the surface of the shaft. This type failure is indicated by the "beach marks" shown at the top of the shaft. Mis-alignment may have also been the culprit!! :bigeyes: If that is the case, a Kohler twin could have caused the failure!! :biggrin2: |

That's why you shouldn't remove the rag joint on your 1811. When the ISO mount's fail it will shear the shaft off. The twin 18 is a animal!
