Doubled up on the snow
This morning we awoke to more snow and the opportunity to get most of the family outside. My son, daughter, myself and even the dog got bundled up and headed out in the 13 degree temperature. With my daughter doing the videoing, me and my son cleared our driveway. (see the video link below) After that was finished, we cleared the county road and two of the neighbors driveways.
I'm not a big fan of the snow, but somehow the Cub Cadets take most of the agony away! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M64WAZDRKIc |

Really nice video CBH
Who ever was running the camera did a great job. 2 Cubs staggered pushing snow. Really Cool :beerchug: |
nice. alot of snow has fallen here in n.e ohio. well, my 71 died. i now believe those 7hp k161 are just too small to be doing any kind of snow pushing. alot of flame out of the muffler, followed by some banging then next i knew, only the s/g was running. i do take good care of my tractors. what tips might there be to remove the pto, and disconnect the drive-line from the motor? have another k161 to put in. or i do prefer to have this one fixed. any tips on that? thanks gang, it could be worse!

Wow!! All that snow and no ags or chains. They did their duty and did a great job at that!!! If a job is worth doing, then it is worth doing on a cub.
johncub7172.....I saw someone advertising motor work on e-bay. He had a machine shop and had his service up for bid---think it was about $25 or so to bore, polish, etc. just to get his name out there. He seemed experienced and promised 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Sorry that I didn't save that info for you. I just had some work done to my K161.....a broken head bolt in the block. I need to find out what the mechanic found out about it......Well, good luck on your fix!!! Cub Cadet 123 |
My son had to leave this afternoon. He called me when he got home to let me know that he had made it okay. He also mentioned it was fun using those Cub Cadets today. :biggrin2.gif:
Cub Cadet 123...there are chains on both Cubs! I've tried using just AG's, but that was a total waste of of gas! :bash2: Diz Jr.....Thanks. That was my daughter doing the camera work. |
My Jack Russell and I are setting here eating Club crackers and enjoying your video. Nice work! Looks like your dog holds up to the cold better than mine.
Cute dog:ThumbsUp: Chris |
Great video! Have you tried waxing your blade(s) so the snow will roll to the side? Seems like you were just pushing it for a ways there with no sideways movement of the snow.
I was hoping the 2nd tractor would back off a bit there. I was afraid he was going to plow the pooch under! Cool dog. Even cooler tractors! |
