Mule drive pulley bearings

While I was cleaning the engine drive on the 122 I wiggled the two pulleys on the mule drive. One of them felt pretty tight and the other one is a little loose. I figured I may as well pull it out and see what it would take to replace the bearings. It appears the assembly is two shells that are riveted together so I can't tap the bearings out:bash2:.

Has anyone changed these out before? It looks simple enough to use the Dremel and cut the rivets off, split it open and get the bearing out / replace and rivet it back together, but I did a quick search on the bearings and nothing came up. So is it even worth it and should I just leave it alone?

those are not fixable to my understanding

for what they cost they are not worth messing with.

From what I am learning with this ever expanding hobby there are more aftermarket products out there not referenced to the IH /Cub name. I have been researching this board and apparently these are pretty common for many applications. My CCO has cast iron pulleys and the bearings have been purchased and changed, but when I ran into this 122 and searched I came up with nothing until I saw a post you could get them at NAPA.

Thanks for all reply's.

I replaced mine with ones from NAPA. Not only are they inexpensive, the V is deeper than the stock pulley and helps keep the belt in place ( more important with the long tiller belt )

Does anyone have a Napa part number handy?
Thanks
