Safety switch bypass?
For physical reasons I'm not gonna be able to use the foot pedal on my 1250.
Would it be better to: A) Relocate the safety switch where I can reach it to start. or B) Hard wire around the switch completely. ? |
Guys, we don't discuss the disabling of safety switches on this site. There are liability issues.

A different type of safety switch would satisfy the legal aspect. |
It looks like everyone is missing one important point....Druwl is unable to use the foot pedal. How do you plan to stop your 1250 in an emergency? First thing that needs done is hand control going to brake pedal.
Yes you can use the hydro contol......not a good thing in my book. I still use the brake pedal to stop my IH Cub Cadet 149 hydro. |

Zippy has got some great pics of the hand control that he set up for his clutch/brake pedal on one of his cubs, if I remember correctly. Maybe he'll chime in with some ideas. I really like the way he engineered it. :beerchug:

I won't discuse what I did with my hydro's, but for the 100 and 122 I made the hand clutch.
Handles are from an old manual snow plow lift from an ATV, some angle iron and a couple chunks of cold roll, and or flat stock as on the 122 from the handle to clutch. If you have questions PM me and we can go from there. |
