Help! I need a spec number off of a K321AQS engine for a 1450
My brother works for Kohler, and he is trying to line me up a new engine. The lady he talked to said he needed a spec number off of the blower housing. Can anyone help me, or am I in search of "muffler bearings"?

BajaGTO-
I just went out and checked my 1450 and I can only read the first two numbers of the serial number. I can't even see the spec; it's behind the side frame. Someone out there has an engine on blocks and will get you the number soon, I'm sure. Sorry I couldn't help.... |
A common Spec Number for a K321AQS (14HP - Cub 1450) would be...60291

My TC-157 Parts Manual for the IH Model 1450 shows a replacement K-321AQS Service Engine has a Kohler (part) # of PA-60312.

Further Research:
The complete engine assemblies cited by Roland and myself above are, of course, NLA However!! TC-157 lists the following for 1450 replacements: 1) The 77-522-46 short block assembly for a K-321 w/o shoulder mounted dipsticks show to be available from Cub Cadet at @ +/- $1650.00...(ouch). 2) The 77-522-48 short block assembly for a K-321 with shoulder mounted dipsticks is shown to be available from Cub Cadet @ +/- $1550.00 ( more ouch) Those short block assembly numbers should allow your Brother to get what you want.. You'll just have to use the old oil pan, carb etc... Myron B |
