125 Frame question
 

On the front of a 125 how many of the 3 holes are supposed to have nuts welded inside of them? Mine is missing at least the rear one on the R.H. side. But, is the front hole supposed to have a nut inside too?

Jonathan there is not suppose to be a nut on the backside of the front hoile.
At least my 125 doesn't have nuts on the backside.

Thanks Kelly! I didn't think it was.... but wanted to make sure. It's the only narrow frame with the quick mount I have, so didn't have another to look at. :beerchug:

This is correct ( your bottom picture), going from front to back--plain hole, nut welded to inside and frankenstein bolt.

I notice your frame has the cutout for getting at the screws for the points cover,now the 4 I have do not have this.How about yours Jeff?
I know the 1x6-1x7 ones have that cut out.Was it added to the later ones?Johnathan,do you pull up to release the hydro or push down?

Neither of my 125's have them. One is spring '68 build and I haven't run the numbers on the one I got from you yet. :beer2:

Lew, I'll have to get back to you on that. Ill post a pic of the P.O. mod for the hydro release tomarrow. I don't know how it was originally.

Looking back on some of the 1x4 I had there are some also with that cutout. Musta been towards the end of production

Here's the pics of the modified hydro release. From the hole in the side of the frame where the grommet is, I'd say you used to push down on it.
