Idea for hydraulics
Hey guys, I am thinking of putting a PS pump on the cub for Aux hydraulics for a trailer dump etc not too fussed about the deck and blade. I was looking at the cub and there is a heap of space under the seat and a drive output from the rear of the hydro. So my idea is this mount the pump under the seat drive it from the hydro shaft and make a low profile tank, I have a spool valve handy mount it under there too (it'll fit I checked) with the handle facing forwards thru a hole in the guard and voila Stealth Hydraulics! I would mount the pump beside the engine but the pump would spin backward and on the other side it hits the aircleaner. Any thoughts, criticisms or idea's appreciated

I have been fooling around with the idea of using the "nub" on the back side of a hydro to run something, but "fooling around" is as far as I've gotten so far, not even sure what I would want to "run" yet.
As far as your p/s pump setting next to the engine, running backward goes, is it possible to turn the pump around and face it in the opposite direction? |
I did look at it but on one side it fouls on the S/G and the other it hits the air cleaner, plus I like the stealth idea:biggrin2.gif:

Cross the belt and have it face the other direction.

Some newer vehicles have small steering pump with remote reservoir, maybe that would be small enough?
