Hydro bolt, rear cover plate bolt sealers

Anybody want to recommend their favorite other than the specified CC stuff?

Bolt sealer? or gasket sealant? Not sure what you are asking about.

Either one. Looks like what CC used was something akin to plumbers putty in both applications..

My fav is this stuff used to use it when I rebuilt T-101A racing transmissions.

Most of the time I use Permatex Ultra Grey.

I may be missing something but I'm still not sure what we're talking about, I've never found sealer of any kind on a Cub Cadet... anything.

Neither have I. But, I've resorted to using a very thin coat of ultra black permatex on rearend and oil pan gaskets to ensure no leaks. This after several leaking rear ends despite careful installations.

The gray stuff squeezing out between the hydro/differential case. The last two I've had out had the same stuff there and on the bolts on the rear cover.

The bolts on both rear ends also had some type of black sealer on all bolts that held the axle housings to the differential case.

Seems like also, I've seen a CC part listing for bulk sealer to use on hydro differential.

Maybe not?
