Deere Lover, NOT
 

I was standing in line at a peach stand yesterday and started talking to my neighbor in line. He moved here 15 years ago from Ohio and told me he had to sell his Cub Cadet before the move. When he moved here he couldn't find another Cub so he bought one of the green machines. He absolutely hated that Deere and ended up trading for something else.
While we were talking an old man pulled up acting like he was in a hurry and just being rude in general. When the stand opened he jumped line in front of several people at the front, got his peaches, and sped off. I commented on the whole thing to my new friend and he said "didn't you see the John Deere hat he was wearing?" "Somebody stole his John Deere last night and he was trying to get home to close the gate before they brought it back!"

i grew up with narrow frame cub cadets, they were a majority in my neighborhood growing up...... prob a dozen cub cadets, 2 john deere, 2 bolens, a early 60's wheel horse, and a whole bunch of home dept store riders that i was always trying to help fix.......this summer i am trying to restore the 71 that my pop pop gave me before he passed away and my early 100 that was given to me like 20 yrs ago.

Old cubs built to last , unlike the big box store mowers, wont comment on the other stuff!:bigthink:

That's funny. I've never liked the Deeres and never will. If it runs like a Deere it smells like a john.

That was funny! I love to crack jokes about JD, because JD thinks they made the better garden tractor. Not so, IH Cub Cadet made the better garden tractor!

But still, JD has always been :American Flag 1:, and that is a good tractor, make no mistake about that!
