front mounted deck on an original or 70

When I was a kid, one of our neighbors had a pair of Cub Cadets. I think one was an Original and the other was a 70. I seem to remember one of them having a front mounted deck. Anyone know if this was a Cub Cadet deck or something that he modified? I don't know what made me think of it i has to have almost 40 years since I've seen these two Cubs.

AFAIK......All those front mounted mower decks were built by "others" to be installed on Cub Cadets.
