Cub 100 ( Cheryl's Tractor)
Several years ago, while looking through things at Cheryl's Dad's place, I found this old 100.
Yesterday I went to Erie and brought this tractor home. (Second tractor hauled, the other is on ATF web site.) I worked about 3 hours getting it moved and loaded. four flat tires did not help. It needs everything. But I just had to bring it home for some reason. I guess to add to the growing collection of tractors. I haven't gotten and serial numbers yet. Todd this is your type of machine. Thanks for the PM tips already! Todd thinks these are my retirement projects!:) Maybe that's it! http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...3/CIMG2940.jpg The tower is rusted out at the base. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...3/CIMG2938.jpg Has lights! http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...3/CIMG2939.jpg Has Fenders! http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...3/CIMG2937.jpg Steering wheel is in good shape! The engine turns over. Trying to be as positive as possible:) Power washed after unloading. It didn't help much. Comments always welcome. Regards, Chris |
Is that a 100? I'm not very good at the models yet but that looks like a later model than a 100. Good score either way

very nice chris, nice options too:beer2:

Nice 100, Chris!
machinehead323, it's a 100. It has a grille from a later Cub Cadet. |
the grill looks homemade:bigthink:
|
The grill is homemade. The grill housing is from a newer model.
Nice 100. Fenders, headlights, nice! Good luck with it. :beerchug: |
Looks good! I've got one of those homeade grill screens just like that one on my 147 and it looks ok. Towers can be procured and replaced.

Glad you guys have my back here. Yea now that I look again the cast grill shroud looks more like the newer 73 or 1xx series. I went and looked at Todd's 100 restoration and see the difference in the cast grill shroud. Maybe the hood is from a 100? It does have 100 on the sides of the hood. Yea the grill looks like expanded metal. More investigative work to do to uncover the mystery:)

Chris
With lots of work and lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$ it will look like new. Ask me how I know. LOL :biggrin2: |

Way to go Chris:beerchug:
It's not the best looking dog in the pound, but it's got potential. My 100 came out of a field, home made hood, some rotted tires. Knowing you, it'll clean up nice. |
