108 let me down
 

I was mowin with the 108 and heard a noticeable different in the engine. It picked up some rpm, when I disengaged the pto it started to race so I shut it down. I had a pretty good idea it was the throttle shaft. It had been getting pretty sloppy and the engine did.nkt want to idle down unless it had a load on it. Sure enough, pulled the air cleaner and moved the throttle and nothing moved. The throttle shaft actually broke in two right at a screw hole, and of course the screw was missing. So I pulled the head to make sure it had made it threw. The screw went in and out through the exhaust. I could see a few little marks on the top of the piston but no damage. Valves/seats were fine. But a spare carb on and we will try it out tomorrow.

I am thinking you had some luck on your side even tho the shaft broke. Glad to see there shouldn't be any other problems. :beerchug:

Did you ever find the screw?...I'd be curious where it is if you did not just so it didn't wreak any havoc on anything else. Hope you are back up and running without any further problems.
