We got hit with a flash flood. My neighbor (86 year old) got washed away trying to save his 4 wheeler.

Holy crap! Are all of you and yours ok?

Sorry to hear about the flood. I hope nobody got hurt and the damage isn't that bad that it can't be easily cleaned up

They have not found my neighbor. It would be good for his family if they would. By now, he could be in the ocean.
They found one of my tillers for a cub buried 6 foot down in debris under a bridge. This was a mile away. I watched my 12 in. brinly get swept away but it turned up undamaged a short distance away. I believed it was gone for good that time but I wasn't going after it. We were really fortunate in that the back door held. We only had a small puddle (considering) inside. Debris filled the cracks and stopped the water. The door itself was bending at the bottom. It pushed the trailer into the Cadillac and both moved toward the house just upstream and outside that door. The car and trailer funneled the water toward the door. |
So sorry to see the damage! It sure has been wet on the east coast.

Wow!
Sorry to hear about the damage. Glad you and you're family are ok. Prayers go out to your missing neighbor and his family. |
So sorry to hear, what a headache to clean up. Stuff can always be replaced, a life can't.
That same storm that hit you hit us a few days back & dumped 4" overnight. It was a doozie. I posted a few pics ' got rain'. Thread. NIK,, |
