Vanguard 14 hp - 18 hp Question

Hello Gentleman:
I Have A Vanguard 14hp V-Twin OHV,
I broke a pushrod. From what I understand The 14hp & 18hp are the same engine except for the carburetors, True Or False?

My question is : Can I use a 18hp head (used) and put it on a 14hp?

Thank You In Advance!

Cly

What model of Cub are you working on...??

If you broke a pushrod, why are you wanting to change the head? Just curious.

*Sorry* Model 1440 & Change Head Because I Don't Have Tools To do oversize guides that got destroyed.

I would measure up the valves and the head bolt pattern. If they are the same go for it.
