Point saver; Question?

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...ps143df424.jpg

Getting ready to attach point saver thingie on my # 127- 12hp., Kohler.

Before doing this i'm somewhat puzzled at the BEST location as to mounting it? I'm wondering if any-one else has one where did you mount your's?

This is a NO-BRAINER to hooking up & mounting but i dont want to have to change locations.

Thanks in advance.

If it were me, I would mount away from....heat and vibration.

Nik, i installed a pointsaver, but it's on my WF 108. I installed mine on the RH panel extension.

I installed both of mine on the left side just under the battery box.

how often did guys change your points that you need a point saver? My K321 I put a set of points in when I rebuilt it back in 84 or 85 . I use a 0 ohm Chevy coil with a strategically placed resistor. they are still in it today. My
K241 I have no idea when the points were changed. On our pullers the only reason we went away from points was how much timing changed through an RPM range.

When I bought my 108 it ran but the points were pitted really bad. I installed a pointsaver when i replaced the points. Also replaced the used coil with a Bosch Coil. Pointsaver replaces the condensor. What i really like about the pointsaver is it's incredibly easy to set the timing. When the points open, the light comes on.
