Winch question.

I have a cub 126 from 1971. I have a project needing a winch. An ATV winch will do fine. Question is, will the 126 electrical on the 126 handle the 12 amp winch? Or am I going to be doing a little creative modifying? Or is there a better winch that will work with no modification?

Should be fine unless you plan on running the winch continuously while the tractor is at idle. I have an ATV winch on my 71 to lift the hitch.

Forgot to add that it would have to wind in about 30 feet of cable up hill when it is run. The tractor would have run time between pulls.

I ordered one of them, it does not come with the remote control.

The manual for the Harbor Freight 2000lb winch shows a 10 amp draw at 0lbs pull, and up to 106 amps for 2000lb pull. Link to manual - http://manuals.harborfreight.com/man...8999/68146.pdf
