782 Year Of Manufacture?
 

I have a 782 (red) and would like to know the year of manufacture,if anyone could tell me.The serial#is:

2050601U743367

If the factory number is 144-782-399, it's a Cub Cadet Corporation (CCC, a separate company but owned by MTD) built unit made in 1985. It's one of the last built for IH dealers before IH collapsed and dissolved into Navistar and Case/IH (now Case New Holland).

Does that still indicate 1985 as the year of manufacture? Thanks.

My Dad bought the tractor new and we have used it sparingly since then. It only has 380 hours on it. This past week I had to replace the hydro relief valves, spark plugs, changed the hydro oil and filter, the engine oil, new blades and mower belt so maybe it has another 380 hours in it.

I was able to diagnose the hydro oil leak and do the repairs because of info here. It was very helpful, so thanks again.
