K241 in my 104 is pretty loud
 

Do these mufflers wear out? Can I get one that is quieter? Maybe I'm just used to the noise of the chappy lawn tractors of today but mine sure seems loud.

Earplugs! let the neighbors have it. :biggrin2: Those single cylinder kohlers are noisy.

a new muffler may be quieter. I put a new one on my 108 and it helped. I think you can even get an "extra" quiet one from ccspecialties.org.
