Can anyone identify this cart for me, the tires are hard rubber and are about 10" tall and the top of the bed is just under 22" wide and just under 38'" long it also has an IH decal on the front.

It's a #3 I'd say.

No, I mean yes... I have had it for several years.

It lives at the "weekend" place. Just happened to have it and the camera together at the same time and figured that some of you guys would know what it is.

I really don't like using it, because with the way it is made and the hard rubber tires, it sounds like someone is chasing me around beating on a kettle drum.

I had no idea it was a #3 cart, I just figured it was some old thing that went along with an old IH grass cutter.

Woo Hoo, now I can boast having a #2 and a #3 cart.

Thank you guys for your help.

Yeah I've always thought the #3s look sorta silly...small and hard tires (whats up with that?) no thanks. I understand they were made for the lawn tractors.

DRG: Nope! The #3 cart was introduced with and specifically for the Model 60 Rear Engine Riding Mowers. They don't look so silly behind one of those.

I don't know where I got that idea, but I thought they went along with a CC grass cutter. Though admittedly, I had no idea when they came out or what model they were supposed to go with.

Thank you Myron, you are a wealth of information. I wish you had a USB port, I would love to plug a flash drive into you and download the things that you carry around in your head.

For what it's worth... Please understand that I have no intention of looking for or trying to find a model 60 just to have something pull this little cart around.

Sam...it ain't quite all in the head... Over 20 years ago I began collecting manuals, brochures and any other written/printed Cub Cafet and other IH material I could get my hands on. The result is an extensive reference library. I have it indexed so if I have the info, it's easy to look up. Since I own a Model 60 with a #3 trailer, I did know that off the top...(:-)..;
