Good Deal or Not

Ive had a pretty good week as far as parts go this week....Ive managed to pick up 1 complete sleeve hitch for my 149 a brinly sleeve hitch adapter a 10 brinly /craftsman plow.I also scored most of sleeve hitch for my 70 project less the lower bracket.A complete good shape tower for the 70 not too mention the cub parts new Ive bought..The good thing is I still have most of my right arm an all the left one....Flea bay is killin me...lol...Good news is Im almost ready to plow finally when the time comes...There are a few things I still need to move on with my 70 one of which is a creeper.I saw and old friend today thats a collector of the other color stuff I have not seen in years. In our conversation I learned he had been buying up cub stuff..Anyway come to find out he has a creeper he'll sell me for 75.00 but the input shaft is wallowed out where the roll pin goes through. My question is this fixable by welding up and redrilling the cleaning the shaft back up in a lath? Or can you still get a new input shaft from I h?Or do I need to let this one go..This is something I need to get picked up so Im not held up come paint time Which Im about a month away...Let me know what ya think..

If you are good at welding the shaft can be repaired. Partstree.con has the shaft, but it's no cheap date(119.67) so I think it would be worth a try. I have one that has the same problem and the shaft is worn were the seal rides. I am going to weld it up an regrind the shaft to repair the seal leaking problem.

From what I've seen a $75 creeper is a no brainer (unless it's destroyed). I would jump on it. I see it as one of those "bird in the hand" deals.

Im a decent welder just something I dont do everyday so you know how that is..By the time I get through with this cub I might be able to get certified...lol..I think Im gona head over by his house and take a look at it to see what shape its in and go from there and maybe look to see what else he has laying around....I''ll take a Pic or too when Im there and post em this guy has a impressive green collection...Mostly big tractors.....
