Vintage spinner knob's?
My original had a knob on the wheel at one time. Did they make them when the tractor's were new? If so, can I find one, or a repro. now?

I got mine at tractor supply. I have the aluminum and it turns my hand gray after mowing.

I scoured the 1963 Parts and Accessory Catalog and seen no mention of Steering Wheel Spinner Knobs. Thus, I would draw the conclusion, that (A) it was a later offering by IH, or (B) it is aftermarket.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RED-WOOD-STE...0274d3&vxp=mtr Here's a link to one on E-bay. The older ones weren't painted though. Look around, they're out there. I personally don't like the wood ones, as they wear, they had a tendency to pinch your skin..... |
I don't like spinner knobs period....they get in the way of driving IMO. Can't stand 'em.

Both my big row crop tractors have them and I have one on my mini 4x4 pasquale, I love them on those rigs I plan to add one to my cubs but haven't got around to it yet, if you have a John Deere dealer near you they have rubber covered ones, they work better than the rest. But you might have to take paint thinner to get the Deere logo off right away, or it'll wear off in an month or two!
