Is a 1320 Worth A Broken Knuckle?? Pics!!

I had a 1204 Cub Cadet my neighbor was dying to own it. I knew I would never put any effort in a 4 speed Cub Cadet.

I traded him the 1204 for an Ariens GT-18, mostly for the tires, but it has power steering and other things on it also.

He threw in a Cub Cadet 1320, so I would give him a set of loaded rear tires and chains.

Here is the 1320.

He said the tractor ran last summer, but, the starter solenoid died. He quit using it.

So would you risk a broken knuckle trying to fix it, or just send it to the shredder!?? :bigthink:

Oh, yea, what is that thing on the back?

Tell you what Cad, as much as everyone cuts down these late 80's early 90's LT's I've had great luck with them, and they are used. I've got a 1330 I bought new in 92, and averaged 100 hours a year, of rough cutting. The first 10 years I cut around tree seedlings in the woods, and our food plots that was alfalfa and clover.
Last year the transaxle finally went out, but I had another one to replace it with. First real repair in 21 years. They get a bad rap, but their not all bad:bigthink:

fix it

I have a 1320. I took the deck off and painted it breast cancer pink for my wife. She uses it to buzz around the yard with her wagon. I think it's a good little tractor. That thing on the back is for a bagging system. I think it's worth a bloody knuckle or two.

If it's not to much to fix Cad then fix it and send it down the road!:biggrin2:
The back setup is for a bagger assy.

Keep the hood ornament before you part with it. They are the same as the 82 series ornaments.

I'd say it's definitely worth getting running. If the differential and engine are in good shape, it'll do a fair amount of mowing and you can be happy with it. I've got a 1715 that we've been mowing with for the past few years. Bought it as a "beat up ol' mower" and with a little bit 'o paint, she's much better than the Murray which used to mow our lawn.
