Been lookin' for one of these

149 with a Johnson loader made its way to my house today! It has the older style bucket that was originally mounted on a 100. PO made some interesting modifications: his own undercarriage, rear weight bracket, additional wheel weights, nice pump mount and beefy lift support brace. The pump actuates off the POT lever. It also has a rear lift that is still functional. Normally I like to keep things original but, as a dedicated loader, these things make sense. Everything works but needs some additional work. I think I will play with it over the Summer and refurb it next Winter. http://http://www.onlycubcadets.net/...pictureid=4362

Some additional pictures of the PO mods. I like the way he placed the pump under the hood. With the bracket he made it is protected and hidden and runs well off the PTO. He also modified the connection to the hydro fluid reservoir. The additional weights are steam pipe caps he reused from scrap. This one won't be coming off easily but the additional support brackets he welded on are much sturdier than the factory set up. Nice job on these things. The bad (not too bad): the bucket is mounted with #8 bolts with the thread rubbing where they pass through. I will replace them with pins and bushings. There are leaks on the bottom seals of the lift cylinders. Anybody know if I can just get some measurements to order replacements. How hard is it?? Paint, fluids, refurb.

Is the one pic with the bucket up as high as it goes? Just curious. Sweet tractor, wish I had a loader, not like I need one though.

Congrats on the loader score!:beer2:

The bucket goes up over 6 feet. Just looked awkward that way.

Congrats on your 149 and loader!

Congrats on the 149 and loader combo! Awesome score. I used to have a 129/Johnson combo and they worked well together. Looks like the PO added a Kwikway bucket to it. Thanks for sharing the pics. :beerchug:

Nice pick up, CubyFan! Another one I was watching the listing on. And glad to see a fellow Cubber got it. Looks to be a beefy setup. And the 149 is a stout machine to put it on, too!
