1811 engine rebuild
 

Well I decided to pull the engine out an give it a goin over. I figured I would ask what if anything can be upgraded in this engine while its apart. Im gonna have the bores taken out .020 plus new guides an valves. Check the crank and rods for wear. This engine ran quiet an smooth but smoked badly. But with almost 2900 hrs. there no shame for it!!! I guess these old twin magnums are a pretty good horse!!

2900 hours, that girl owes you nothing! I'd seriously think about new rods though just from a fatigue stand point.:beerchug:

Yeah with that many hours I figured the rods plus some valve springs also. Im gonna try an get it out of the chassis today an start tear down to see what it looks like.
