Why does the tractor say McCormick Deere on it? I'm looking at a tractor calendar that has a WD9 on it, and it says Mccormick on it, too. Just wondering.

International Harvester started out in it's wee years as one guy (Cyrus McCormick- you know the reaper guy) that started a company with a guy by the name of Deering. (Google it). Tractors were then named McCormick-Deering for years.
PS WD9s are awesome. |
Up til 47 all Farmalls had McCormick Deering about the Farmall. After 47 it just says McCormick.

Nice Farmall Cub! I had a 1950 model.

Thanks Allen, when I take it to steam shows it gets a lot of attention. It's had its fair share of photos taken, its serial # 529, the beginning production # is 501.

Wow Rob, that's an early one!
