K241 flywheel drive pully

As I was installing my 3 pin clutch driver to the flywheel drive pully, i stripped the threads in 2 of the 4 holes in the pully. Luckily, i had a spare pully to use. I'm wondering if anyone has used Heli-coils or some other type of thread repair on a drive pully?
I've been looking at some billet aluminum drive pully's the tractor pullers use, they look a lot tougher than the stock pullys. If I used one of the pulling drives, i wouldn't have a grass screen on it on my K241. How important is the grass screen on the drive pully? I use my tractor for mowing and snowplowing, usually not in dusty conditions. :bigthink:

I will not use an engine in most any conditions without the screen installed. The screen will not keep dust out of the engine cooling fins but is designed to keep larger debris from plugging up the cooling fins. These engines are air cooled and any obstruction reduces this capacity.

I agree the screen is a must. Even in mowing conditions I get grass around the flywheel and I'm thankful for the screens. They were installed at the factory for a reason.
