Help and Advice on a 50C Deck

I have a 50C deck I received as a bucket of parts. I've been asked to put it together for the owner (who took it apart) with new bearings and seals. While I have the bearings and seals, I have a question on each spindle. What I have are 3- spindle cups, # 703-1387 that came in the box of parts. The parts blow-up shows 2 cups on each spindle, one at the top just under the pulley and one at the bottom just above the blade. The owner said there was only one on each spindle above the blade and none under the pulleys.

So.... what has everyone seen on these decks? is there supposed to be two spindle cups on each spindle or just one that is located by the blade?

Zippy1, it is close to my deck, but the spindles use an aluminum housing rather than the stamped steel ones shown. I guess I need to call my favorite dealer on Monday to see what he has to say.

Look it up on Parts tree, you'll get a better idea of it.

The CPE-2B Parts Manual only indicates three (3) Cups, one above each blade.

I have both styles, The older stamped steel 2 pc sandwich together and bolt in from the top of deck. The newer 1 pc aluminum bolt up from under. It has been a while, but this is my story and im sticken to it. Dave
