Holy big blade Batman!

Got bored so I decided to put my 54 inch blade on.the 1650 just for kicks. While I'm waiting on parts to get it put together, and wow I.didn't think.a 54 was actually so big. This is it pulled out of my 12x12

looks good. I think the 42's look too small. like the one I have.

I run a 54" on my 1450, done so for years now. It is just right, when it's angled off at 30°, and you don't run over the discharge.

I was debating on putting the big blade on my 123 or 1650 but I decided to take the hydro lift approach because my shoulder all but kills me after a hour or so lifting the 42 with the strongarm lift. I need to replace the a arm on this 54 as it is a bit chewed up and has a hitch pin for the pivot lock which allows about six inches of play . But I got all summer to figure that out and I piicked up a different toy for mowingdutys so I can gather the few extra parts to get the 1650 done. I'll start a new thread on that later

I'd like to get a 54" for my 147.

54" would be great!!
I get by with 48" http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...014640x409.jpg 48" doesn't even hardly labor the 10HP. :bigthink: |
Yea cadplans my 42 doesn't bother my 12 on the 123 at half throttle one bit. I used the 1650 a few mins ago to.test out the 54 on a pile to knock it down so it will melt easier nd at quarter throttle she barely even tested it. Can't wait to get the exhaust elbow so I can put a actual exhaust on it and get some real use out of it.
