Drive Plate Removal Question

Don't know if this belongs in the engine section as it's a Cub Cadet part, not a Kohler part - moderator please move if I'm in the wrong place.

Pulled the donor engine out of my 122 and the drive plate is somewhat warped in a couple of places. Looks to me like someone put a pry bar on it.

I've got a straight drive plate, question is - how to I get the old drive plate off? I removed the 4 bolts holding it to the engine.

Thanks!
Bill

Bill you'll have to pull on it to get it out. It should come out but not fall off.

A few gentle taps with a hammer should jar it loose. Mine have come off pretty easily.

Rubber mallet and tapping. I've usually had to.twist mine.slightly to get it to.come off.

Good news! I put a small pry bar on the drive plate and gave a light push and tapped the drive plate with a small ball peen hammer and the drive plate eased off.

Thanks everyone!!!!!
