Heim joints and boots
Just received heim joints to replace stock rod ends in my 127. I'm thinking of ordering heim boots from a company called "seals-it". They are boots that completely cover the joint. I figure they might help given the amount of greasy crap caked into my current rod ends. They appear to be more protective than the rubber end seals with the integral washer (these are also made by the same company).

Here's the link to the website: http://www.sealsit.com/rodendboots.asp

They make some cool stuff, used some of what they made on my race car.

I'm looking at the heim joints that you can grease, 20 bucks for the pair from CC Specialties . Those boots would be a smart idea

I considered those and I usually like to support the sponsors but McMaster-Carr has the identical product for $6.20 (item 444T931). I placed an order with them on Wed evening at 9pm and the box was at my door the next day when I got home from work and the shipping was only $4.00 on a $60.00 order. You can't beat that. Also, I think an unprotected heim joint on a tractor is going to get exposed to some pretty nasty stuff. I have read where people use the boots and once installed pack them with grease.

When I look up 444T931 on McMaster it says no item found.
