Clutch parts
Is there anyone out there that can lathe and true 2 drive clutch plates for me. And make a new drive shaft for a 122 with no creeper gear. The machine shop here wants way to much to do. Email me at rsfdtl@twcny.rr.com . This has turned into a major fiasco. Been trying to get this done sence June. About ready to part it out.

You can get a piece of 5/8" round stock steel from Home Depot or Lowes and make a driveshaft yourself. If you have an old coupler it can be used for a centering guide as long as the holes are still close to 1/4" and not too wallowed out. Get the measurements from your old driveshaft and be careful to get them as close as possible if not exact. Setting up a jig would be the best thing to do. The parts need to be clamped and you need to use a drillpress. It takes time and can be a head scratcher but it's very doable. As far as the discs are concerned, most any machine shop should true them up for around $10 apiece if not less. Hope this helps... Wayne |
