Quiteline Engine into 1x8/9 Tractor???

Anyone put an engine from a Quiteline type into a wide frame 1x8/9?

I've got a spare 14 hp engine from a QL tractor and have considered putting it in a potential rolling chassis - less engine from a 1x8/9 or my 109.

Any tips, pics, etc., would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
Bill

I made this same swap many years ago in a 108.

I used the 1450 wiring harness, electric PTO, QuietLine starter motor, muffler and related shields, etc.

I don't remember any problems except quite of vibration. I ran it for years with no other issues before changine it back to a 108.

The throttle and choke cables are run differently, so you might need to adjust for that. and the engine cooling shrouds are different, but I think that can be dealt with as well. You may have an electric PTO on the QL engine, while the older tractor has a manual PTO. You can swap PTOs. Other than that stuff, I think it's totally doable.
