cub completly dead
hello, everyone.
the 109 is dead. the battery is charged, and i get nothing at all. i push the clutch down and turn the key to start and nothing. absolutely nothing. the AMP gauge doen not even move. what could be the problem thanks |
My first guess, foot pedal or PTO safety switch.

Check the safety start switch inside the frame to be sure the button is being pushed in by the metal bar when you push in the clutch. One of my 102s the bar had moved off to the side and no longer pushed the button in. Check the wiring to see if there may be a fuse that is blown.

It's a wiring problem--check connections, ground should be clean (check for rust/corrosion), perhaps you have some bad wiring splice or something like that.

Don't overlook the obvious, pull the battery cables loose and hit them with some scotchbrite or sandpaper. I had a "dead" one just the other day, and after looking for something more difficult like the solenoid, it wound up being dirty batt cable ends.
