hydro check valves
I was wondering if there is any way to test hydro check valves when they are out of the tractor. I really don't see what could go wrong with them. I sold a set of the automatic release valves to a guy and he said they don't work. I took them out of a 982 and he is putting them in a 1650. I never had the tractor running so I can't say for sure they are working. when replacing them do you have to give the tractor time to build up pressure? I never had an issue with these before. Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know of any way of testing them other then putting them in a known working pump.

The only thing is look at and assure, is that they are Clean and the plunger has Free Travel.
Next step would be to install them and check them out. |
