Hydro seals

I’m looking for part # and a source for a couple of seals. The ones I need are #5 and they are for a cc149.

The part number is on the cub cadet parts lookup page. And pretty much any cub dealer can get them

Cub part # IH-383534-R91

Make sure you read the manual on how to change those. You need to open the pump up and remove the trunnion shafts in order to replace the one on the control lever side. At that point you will need the case gasket and you should change the other two seals.

Hydro trunion seal Ser# 592014 & below (IH# 383534-R91) is a NAPA #6720
Ser# 592015 & above (Sunstrand #9008000-6701) is a NAPA #6763

Input seal (IH 394847-R1) is a NAPA #6204 or a National #471466

Thanks for the quick responses. Looks like the pump is coming back out:angry:
I was hoping that they could be changed from the outside but looks like if I’m digging in that deep I might as well change all the seals.

I strongly suggest that you down load the service manual http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=13226
and read the disassembly and repair procedures for the pump. One big area of caution is the removal of the roll pins that hold the trunnion shafts in the swash plate. It is not hard to do but if you screw it up you are in trouble. Make sure you keep everything CLEAN. Holler if you have questions. :beerchug:

How did you cross-reference to a Napa part number?
