Bought a 129 Today
 

My dad found a 129 for me and we went and picked it up today. Just a basic 129 with no extras. Has a blown engine :( sounds like the rod is broken or the bearing cap is off but I knew that going in.The PO admitted to running it low on oil :bash2: Gave a $100 but I figured it was still worth that.When it stops raining Ill give it a good bath and decide what to do with it. Pricing engines or rebuild prices is SCARY!! Here are a few pictures.

Agree, nice find Don. Depending on what is going on inside that engine I wouldn't be to scared as to rebuild as parts are still out there.

I had a 149 and wish I had kept it. I thought about trying to find a 14HP to put in the this one. I was telling DX3 I might try to buy one of the Chinese diesels and fab it in. Ive got the hydraulic lift off the 1650 I could install on the 129.Just have to see how the budget goes.

I have to check out one of these diesels. :) The 129 looks pretty dang good.

Diz Im just really wondering about the cost on getting that engine rebuilt or a another one to put in it. Engine prices are awful.

Nice find and at a good price! Yank that motor and pull the pan and head off and see whats going on.
