Picked up this today for 150 bucks. My intent is to rebuild the motor in this one and swap it into my 1250. Then rebuild that one and put it back in the 1200. Should work right? Looks like a different driveline connection on the 1200 though. But for 150 bucks it will be good for spare parts if the engine is shot. I will clean her up and see if she will start then go from there.

The back of the driveshaft is the same on both tractors, or at least on my two they are.. and the drive cup on the engine is the same, just one has the clutch attachment there instead of the flex joint plate. So yes, the engines will swap.

Both are great tractors....Make sure you have the isolation mounts all in tip top shape when you are done.. and if you have the engine and clutch out , it will be the ideal time to rebuild the steering gear too..
