A couple ideas...
Well the 126 is just about to get pulled into the shop, to get dismantled and reworked. So a couple things I have been thinking about are possibly stretching the frame about 6 inches. I'm just not real sure where I should add the additional frame work. Another thing I am thinking on is putting a bigger spindle 4 lug hub setup out front with tandem wheels to give it that boss big tractor look. I expect to be in full swing on this rebuild come January. She's still working in the yard right now is the big reason it hasn't made into the shop yet. Any thoughts??

Here is a guy on the site with what you need for the front end. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=21263 |
Sam I know it was posted a bit over a month ago, but that link appears to be dead. I am still searching for the parts, when disassembling the 126 I found one of the spindles had been welded just before it broke again. So now I have to do something.

My thoughts, since you asked-
the 126 is a great frame the way it came from the factory, and doesn't need to be worked on at all. I'd leave it. |
I would do this but I really want to change the spindles to take 4 lug wheels. I plan to build a fel in the future and need the 1" spindles and heavier hubs to handle the load.
