Couple 147 questions
I'm still gradually piecing back together the old 147 I rescued from the shredder. Upon close inspection found that somehow the PTO had come loose from the crankshaft and turned it into somewhat of an eccentric.
Came across a k321 crankshaft from a cub real cheep in excellent shape. I do know it came from a quietline engine....... was a now or never situation and took a chance. Does anyone know if there is a difference? Also, picked up a PTO also...... took it apart to check, bead blast and paint. Looked to have a newer disc and no anti rattle clips, as if someone had been in it recently. Friend of mine offered to blast the pieces at work so I took him up on it. Got the box back missing the 3 point disc spring! He says it wasn't in the box.... it's a dead issue now..... its gone. Have looked for a part # for a replacement but can only find them included in a complete rebuild kit. Any insight, help, criticism welcome.... :beerchug: Thanks! |
I'd give Patton and Cub Classics a call and list in the wanted section. :biggrin2:

Betrayed
IROCKWITHDIRT: It sucks that the box came back missing a few parts. I've been betrayed by "friends" too. One guy swapped the original IH wheels I brought to him for painting with some no-name replacement wheels. I didn't discover his betrayal until months later when I went to get tires mounted. At least my wheels function, but my ultimate goal of a "restoration" was effectively frustrated.
They say you have to let these kinds of things go and move on; but where does one let them go to? All I know is that it seems to get harder and harder to move on; even if I deal with my anger, I still seem to be "stuck;" I hope you aren't. Jeremiah |
