steering column pops out of dash
 

My steering wheel on my 104 constantly pops out of the dash. Then it wobbles around all over the place. Is there a part that goes here that is just wore out or am I maybe missing something? It seems like the wheel is too high to lock into the collar coming through the dash.

I'm not sure if this is you problem, this is how I fixed mine from popping out, it was on a 1450. The hole was already in the frame from the factory. The clamp is a 2" muffler clamp with a bracket welded to it.

To fix that, the column should really be removed from the tractor, cleaned, tube re-expanded, and then loc-tited and retained with a pop rivet.

Thats what I figured needed to happen. Everythings gettin tore down in the spring so I will just deal with it til then as long as a little snow plowing won't destroy anything.

That's a nice fix...I especially like the "no permanent mods done" method!
