Cub Cadet 782

Hi I am looking into getting an International Cub Cadet 782. From what i found in tractor data it looks like there was on made by International and one made by MTD. Is this true and if it is how can i know that I am gettting one made by International.

thanks,
Will

Will
yes that is true.
The ID tag on the left side of the frame is the easiest way to tell.
It will be smaller and say International Harvester whereas the MTD one will be bigger and say Cub Cadet Corp. on it and say Cleveland, OH.

Hi Will,

my 782 is a MTD buildt one, it's from 1984, and i got it 2008 from the States. The 782 is a yery good, Machine, it's yery yery rare, here in Europe, and i'm proud to have one.

The 782 is my "Working Tractor", mowing, plowing, and pushing Snow. Have a Cast Aluminium Rear End Housing, the Front Axle, Rear End, and the Tie Rods are painted black.

At the "International" 782, the Front Axle, Tie Rods and Rear End are painted red, and the Rear End Housing is Cast Iron.

I spent my 782 the Steering Wheel Cab, and the Hub Caps from an "International" 782, with the IH Sign on it.

The MTD 782 doesn't had the IH Sing on this Parts.

Look at the Dash Board, on the MTD you can read "Cub Cadet", on a "International" Dash, you can read "International Cub Cadet".
The following Pics are all from the same, (my 782) Tractor, from 2008 - 2012,

Thank you very much I will look for those and which ones have the hydraulics on them and the 3 point hitch I don't know if the 782s have them but which cub cadets have them

The 782 have the Hydraulics, but no 3 Point, you can attach a Sleeve Hitch, i buildt the Sleeve Hitch, for my 782 myself, in my own Style, few Years ago, to attach my 10 inch Brinly Plow.
Last Week, i spent him a Dual Hydraulic System with Remote Connections, at the Rear End.

Look at this Thread,

if you want a 3 Point Hitch at the 782, you can look here,

Thank you now i am also looking at a 982 what is the main difference and what should i know about it.

ihc353s 10-28-2012 10:55 PM

the 982 have a longer Frame, (between Seat and Steering Wheel), bigger Steering Wheel, single Wheel Brake, bigger Tires, higher Front Axle and Spindles, 3 Point Hitch, i hope, i've not forgotten somethings.

Tire Sizes:

782:

Front: 16-6.50-8,
Rear: 23-10.50-12

982:

Front: 18-9.50-8
Rear: 26-12-12
