hydro maintenance, 1810
 

Recently inherited my Grandfather's old 1810. Literature I have seen says to replace the Hydro filter every 100 hours, but makes no reference to the 14 pints of hydro fluid itself. Should the hydro fluid be changed every 100 hours also, or just the filter if there is no trouble?

If you are not sure how long the fluid has been in there, I would change fluid and filter, just to know it is good for another few years.

Myself, I usually change both at the same time.

Thanks DWayne. I'm leaning the same way. Hydro runs fine now, but my guess is it has not been serviced in MANY years.
