Cub Cadet banner?
 

Forgive me for asking, but I'm wondering what the story is behind the Cadet I see every time I log into this site, at the top of the page--

was it the first experimental hydrostatic transmission or is it just something a mechanic threw together? I searched the site and couldn't come up with an answer.

This was the first hydro Cub Cadet.

I hope to have it and the engineer who built it at next years Red Power Round Up in Lima, Ohio.

That's the first hydro built by sunstrand engineer Charles Ricketts. Here's the link to a thread about it.

Ok thanks for letting me know. I figured it was a hydro- the unpainted pump gave it away.

I hope that it's at the RPRU in Lima next year- this one is one of the closest ones to me! I went to the one in Indiana two summers ago and it was great.
