fork lift for cub cadet?

Have any of you ever heard of a fork lift attachment for a Cub Cadet? I know of one and suspect that it is a home made attachment. I did see it once but could not get close to it because of boxes of stuff and junk, so didn't get a close look at it. I think the guy told me it had been on maybe a 129. I know it does not have a pump, as the owner asked me if I might have a pump for it. The fellow that owned it passed away, so now I am thinking of contacting his wife to see if she would like to sell it.

Anyone have any clue what something like this would be worth? I am at a loss as to what to offer. I don't want to steal it and also don't want to overpay. I am sure you all can relate to the feeling. Any thoughts will be appreciated. I know pictures would be great, but I have none.

Thanks, Rog

I have seen a forklift on a Cub Cadet before but i don't know if it was an option at one point or if it was homemade. It looked good.

Yes, it was an option as Danco made one. Hard to price it without any pictures.
Maybe ask her what she would be willing to sell it for, then go from there.
Here is a picture of what they looked like, I've never seen one in person myself. But I sure would use one if I had it!

I would offer up to $200.

Look at the front rims on the O in the pic. Never seen those before.

I have never seen or heard of one either. The original in the pic probably had a beefed up front axle or atleast spindles and bearings. That's a lot of weight on the front axle. It has a bracket that goes to the rear axle just like the loaders did. It makes me think that's a pretty rare attachment. Kinda like the post hole diggers and ground saws. Good luck and get us some pics if you do get it. :beerchug:

Thank you CaptMax for sharing the photo of the fork lift. Really looks cool! I agree about the front axle being beefed up. Also, the tires and wheels are I am sure extra heavy duty also. Bet she is a brute to steer with a load. I still really hope I can get this one bought. I will try to get some pictures to share with you guys.

No problem about sharing the picture, I have several pictures of odd and obscure accessories that were available. I only wish I could find some of them at garage sales. :biggrin2:
